All daemons starting except datanode

0 votes

I tried to start the daemons using the command:

./start-all.sh

and also tried to start them individually.

No matter what I do, datanode is not starting.

I changed the datanode directory permission to 777 and tried. No luck. Please help me in starting datanode

There could be more than one reason for this problem. Please share the error log. And also, because you have mentioned that you have changed the permission, the permission required is 755 and not 777. Change the permission to 755 and try again. If the problem for datanode not starting was the permission, then this should solve it.
