What does a Hadoop Admin do

I know the roles and duties of Developer but what does a Hadoop Admin do? Aren't they both like a same job?

• Maintain HDFS
• Maintain Data and Security privacy
• Implement Hadoop Infrastructure
• File System maintenance.
• Performance tuning of Hadoop cluster

A Hadoop developer is the person who builds Hadoop applications or systems. A Hadoop Admin is a person who looks after all the process and working of the Hadoop application/Systems built by the Hadoop Developer. Hadoop Admin will look after the proper working of the system and suggest necessary changes or ask for other requirements to be implemented by the Hadoop Developer.

A Hadoop Admin, like any other Admin, works with different teams to make sure the tasks of the organization are being met. A Hadoop Admin will manage groups, plans tasks, provides resources for the other Hadoop employees according to their requirement. He/She will monitor the tasks being carried out by different teams working on the Hadoop Application and makes sure the tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
