Cloud are basically of 4 different types:-

1. Public Cloud

It is open to everyone, anyone can create account and use it.

Eg:- AWS, GCP, Azure

2. Private Cloud

Can be used by single organization separately.

More agile.

Infrastructure is cloud aware.

Cost incurred is high

Eg:- Services provided by AWS and Azure can be treated as Private cloud.

3. Hybrid Cloud

When the service you are using comes from different service providers or mixed up with cloud and data centers then it is called Hybrid.

Eg:- AWS

4. Community Cloud

The cloud service managed by some community is treated as Community Cloud.

There are generally three main types of cloud services:

  1. Public Cloud: This type of cloud service is provided by third-party vendors, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Public cloud services are available to multiple customers over the internet and are managed by the cloud provider. These services offer scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness, as customers pay for what they use.

  2. Private Cloud: A private cloud is dedicated solely to a single organization or business. It can be physically located on-premises or hosted by a third-party service provider. Private clouds offer greater control, security, and customization options since they are not shared with other organizations. They are often chosen by companies with specific compliance requirements or sensitive data.

  3. Hybrid Cloud: A hybrid cloud combines both public and private cloud environments, allowing organizations to leverage the benefits of both. It provides the flexibility to run certain workloads or store data in the private cloud while utilizing public cloud resources for other tasks. Hybrid clouds enable seamless data and application portability between environments and can optimize cost, performance, and security based on specific requirements.

Each type of cloud has its advantages and considerations, and organizations can choose the most suitable option based on their needs, budget, security requirements, and scalability demands.
