Both the Business Analysis and Project Management are complementary activities. 

1. The responsibility for defining product scope is assigned to the resources that have business subject matter expertise. Defining Product Scope comes under the activities of Business Analysis.

 2. Depending on product and product quality of service requirements needed Project Management defines the amount of work required (Project Scope) to achieve those required items. Inside the Project Scope, the Product Scope can also be included Thus, Business Analysis and Project Management are interconnected activities.
