What does a portfolio manager do

Hi, I am new to this field and have done my PMP certification with the XYZ organization. After that, I tried facing all the interviews but what I could see is rejection. Though I am preparing with those questions also but they asked me one question "Why do you want to work as a portfolio manager"? I just want to know, how to reply to that?

They ask this kind of common behavior questions is asked to assess your personality. This allows the interviewer to assess your goals and aspirations.

Portfolio managers work with a team of analysts and researchers and are ultimately responsible for making the final investment decisions for a fund asset-management.

Portfolio managers tend to specialize when it comes to styles of investing. Investment styles include hedging techniques, growth or value style of management, small or large-cap specialties, and domestic or international funding investing.

Portfolio managers often meet with high-level investors and potential investors in person.
