Follow these steps to launch the instance with persisting Root Volume:

  1. Click on Launch Instance.
  2. Choose the AMI
  3. Choose the Instance Type
  4. On the Add Storage page, deselect the Delete On Termination checkbox for the root volume.
  5. Complete the remaining wizard pages, and then choose Launch.
