Code to compute average in Apache Spark

I want to code to compute average in Apache Spark, if I have a huge list of numbers in RDD how to compute can anyone suggest?

Hi,

You can compute the average using this code:

def myAvg(x,y):

return(x+y)/2.0;

avg = myrdd.reduce(myAvg);
