what is the difference between CREATE TABLE and CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE in Hive

Can anyone suggest the difference between CREATE TABLE and CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE in Hive?

Hey,

Although, we can create two types of tables in Hive. Such as:

•   Internal Table
•  External Table

Hence, to create the Internal table, we use the command ‘CREATE TABLE’ whereas to create the External table, we use the command ‘CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE’.
