How to find MAC address using IP address?

I want to find the MAC address of a device. I have got the IP address of the device. How can I use it to find the MAC address?

To find the MAC address, run this command:

$ arp -a

This will list the IP address and MAC address of all the devices in that network. Now look at the MAC address corresponding to the IP address, that's what you are looking for.
