Not able to connect nodes on Ethereum Private Network using bootnodes

0 votes

I am running an Ethereum private node and now trying to connect 2 nodes. I am using the bootnode method to do this but it is not happening.

I am following the steps from this link: https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/wiki/Setting-up-private-network-or-local-cluster

After completing all the steps, when I try to check the peers, I get no result.

If you have created the private network successfully and setup the bootnodes correctly as mentioned in the link, the reason you don’t see the peer might be because you have not added peer to your node.

To add the peer, run the below command from one peer:

>admin.addPeer(enodeUrlOfInstance)
