How to securely transfer data from rdms to hdfs using sqoop

I want to send data with the help of sqoop from rdms to hdfs but I want this transfer to be secure. sqoop uses ftp to transfer table as file which is not secure. Is there any parameter or method by which we can sqoop securely?

Sqoop stores metadata in a repository and also allows you to encrypt the data that is gonna be added in the repository. You can make use of this feature to transfer data securely.
