Excel - Comparing 2 columns and then copying value in 3rd column

I have information in two columns; sometimes information is in Column A while Column B is blank, and other times information is in Column B while Column A is blank.

It basically has to determine whether data is present in columns A or B before copying it to column C because I need to transfer all of the data there.

If anyone could assist with that, that would be a huge help.

There is an excel if() function for this.

=IF(ISBLANK(A2),B2,A2)
