To compare two columns in excel , you can try conditional formatting.

The steps are
1.Select the whole data sheet

2.Select the "HOME" tab

3.You can see a STYLE GROUP ,click on CONDITIONAL FORMATTING option

4.Using the Drop down ,select "New Rule"

5.In the ‘New Formatting Rule’ dialog box, click on the ‘Use a formula to determine which cells to format’.

6.In the formula field, enter the formula: =$A1=$B1

7.Click the Format button and specify the format you want to apply to the matching cells. press OK
This will match the and compare the two coloumns
