Professionally it didn't make much difference, aside from added work responsibility, and more expectations from the management. WOW moment is yet to come.

Yes from an individual level, and from a learning & knowledge sharing perspective, it helped me to create some goodwill, and earn respect. I see new opportunities for growth and advancement. It helped me to attach with a greater audience, share best practices, and learn from their experiences.
