Why AWS DMS service

Hi ,

Why AWS DatabaseMigrationService? Generally using DMS we can migrate Databased from MYSQL to s3 and S3 bucket to Mysql RDS instance. But we can use RDS snapshot to create instance on same region or differ region. Then Why Amazon offered DMS service? Kindly clear my view.
