etaddrinfo Temporary failure in name resolution puppet

Hello,

I facing issue with puppet master. on running puppetserver ca list, getting below error.
Fatal error when running action 'list'
  Error: Failed connecting to https://puppet:8140/puppet-ca/v1/certificate_statuses/any_key
  Root cause: Failed to open TCP connection to puppet:8140 (getaddrinfo: Temporary failure in name resolution)

I have made changes in the hosts file and is able to ping from hostname, but getting this error while checking for certificate. Please guide if I am missing some thing.
