In an interview, you never know where the interviewer asks questions for you. So be a bit focused and answer it like "This a good question and a complex one. Personally, I like to experiment with new things, but I keep all my past mistakes in mind before taking a new project. I am a very adaptable person and I pick up stuff very quickly. Experimenting or taking a risk can yield both good and bad results, but the exercise in itself is a great learning experience. Such experience generates experts and I want to be a Java subject matter expert someday".
