Browse HDFS Job Logs

Question

Can you mention how to browse the Filesystem and Job logs on Ubuntu? I have installed Hadoop and stored some files in it. It is hectic to run the command in terminal to list the files. Is there an easier way to do this?

You can browse the hdfs and see the job logs using the web interface provided by Hadoop. To browse the file system, open the Firefox browser and enter the URL - localhost:50070. After hitting Enter, you will be able to see the option Browse the filesystem, click on it to browse the hdfs. Below this option, you will find another option Namenode Logs, click on it to see the logs.
