DFS PUT Command gives error on Windows

Question

When i run DFS PUT command on windows to insert file into HDFS like D:/test/test.txt, The file got successfully inserted into HDFS at right location but the command returns the below error, even there is no issue in file Path

Error -> The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect

Is it due to presence of : in Windows Path
