Is there a logical difference between WebApp and API app in Azure

Question

Actually I am newbie to the Cloud computing field. I browsed through internet and came across Microsoft Azure. When I was checking through the different services it provides, under App services there were many types of Apps, which actually confused me a bit.

I tried to check the documentations, but could not quite get the actual difference. Can anyone explain in leyman terms please?

Basically there was only minute differences between the different apps,such as API definitions or take cross origin resource sharing. But, because of the continuous evloution of cloud computing, all these differences are ruled out and share common operational/logical models.
All the apps work the same way now. It's just that the actulay difference is between the App icons and their names. Really!!
