StackDriver AWS Reduce Resource Usage

0 votes
If I have an AWS account with multiple ec2 instances (eg. Staging, Prod) but if I just want to monitor the production servers so that I won't get charged for monitoring everything, how would I be able to do this? I've tried to specify the specific instances in the documents and policies.
However, I am getting the errors when selecting the list options there.

Whenever you configure the AWS role, you must be able to exclude specific resources from that role. Stackdriver will be able to see only what the role it's using has access to.
