Connecting to a DB on another server

I have scripts on my first server and I wish to connect to DB on some other server. Is that possible?

It should’nt be a problem. The server that has Database whitelist its IP through Cpanel.

Now create a new user that has sufficient privileges and use it as a test user.

 you change the database host to the external one and you are good to go
