Unable to install the devtools package in R

I am trying to install the 'devtools' package and i get this error:

> library(devtools)
Error in library(devtools) : there is no package called ‘devtools’

How do i resolve it?

Run the below command in your Ubuntu/Linux shell:

sudo apt-get install libcurl4-openssl-dev libssl-dev
