Hi,

While I'm untarring the hive I'm getting the following error

[hadoop@pseudo Downloads]$ tar -xzf apache-hive-1.0.0-bin.tar.gz

gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file

tar: Unexpected EOF in archive

tar: Unexpected EOF in archive

tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

The error you're getting may be because of an incomplete download. The archive ends before the expected footer of the gzipped file.

Please download the file once more and let us know.

Hope this will help you!

To know more about it, go for Linux certification course today.

Thanks.
