Not able to run Nessus Scanner

0 votes

Hi. I download Nessus from the official website and installed it using

$ dpkg -i <filename>

It was successfully installed without any errors.

Now I opened the browser and type //kali:8834/ but the page is not opening. It says unable to connect. But my internet is working fine. Please help.

You have missed out a step. After installing Nessus, you will have to start the Nessus service.

Run the following command:

/etc/init.d/nessusd start

And then browse the url. It should work
