AWS EC2 ERR CONNECTION TIMED OUT

0 votes
I am hosting an application using tomcat in redhat in AWS EC2 instance. It worked fine but after I restart the EC2 instance I am able to access thought ssh but can't connect in browser, and it shows 'ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT'.

Any idea what went wrong?

The most probable fix for getting a connection timed out error is as follows:

  • Check that you are using correct public IP address or Public DNS (IPv4) in your browser.

  • Check whether you have correct configuration in Apache configuration file, as Listen IP:80 and ServerName domain:80.

  • Ensure apache is listening on port 80.
