Import Excel data to power Bi service

Question

I am not able to import the excel data into power BI service(free version...trial version has expired).  Getting the message as We couldn't find any data formatted as a table.

There is a  way that is directly connected to the Excel file in Power BI Desktop, create reports in Power BI Desktop and publish reports to Power BI Service.

There is another way where Excel to tell Excel, that your two columns are a „table“ - instead of just a bunch of cells.
