How to activate a SUSPENDED LVM physical volume

0 votes

Hi Guys,

I created one physical volume in my Linux system. But it shows me suspended.

$ dmsetup info vg1

Name:              vg1
State:             SUSPENDED
Read Ahead:        256
Tables present:    LIVE
Open count:        18
Event number:      0
Major, minor:      249, 4
Number of targets: 1
UUID: LVM-12345

How can I activate my physical volume?

Hi@akhtar,

To reactivate the PV or resume the suspended PV you can use the below given command dmsetup resume.

$ dmsetup resume  vg1
$ dmsetup info vg1
Name:              vg1
State:             ACTIVE
Read Ahead:        256
Tables present:    LIVE
Open count:        1
Event number:      0
Major, minor:      249, 4
Number of targets: 1
UUID: LVM-12345

Hope this will help.
