Why do we need static IP for installing OpenStack

Hi everyone,

I installed OpenStack with static IP and it works fine. But I read some documents and came to know we need static IP. Can anyone tell me why do we need static IP for OpenStack?

We know we get IP from DHCP server. If we change our network DHCP assign another IP to our PC. When we install OpenStack, it assign with an IP address. So if we don't make our IP static it will create issue with networking. That's why it is a good practice to make your IP static before installing OpenStack.
