What is the career path of a Security Specialist? Where to start? What higher-level job roles can I get into later?

You can start with entry-level jobs as a Security Administrator, Network Administrator or System Administrator. And then get promoted to Security Specialist. Other higher level job roles that you can try applying for after becoming a Security Specialist are Security Architect, Security Manager, Security Consultant, IT Project Manager etc. The highest job role on this path would be Security Director or CISO.
