Why does Power BI ignore one filter when another filter leads to no data records

Why does Power BI ignore one filter when another filter leads to no data records?

When multiple filters are applied in Power BI, I want all filters to remain active, even if one results in no data records. How can I prevent one filter from being ignored in such cases, ensuring that all user selections are respected and the report still provides useful feedback even when data might be missing?

To stop Power BI from disregarding filters that produce no data:

Adjust Visual Interactions: Make sure all visuals respect filters by using Edit Interactions.

Create DAX measures to handle empty data (for example, return 0 if no data) and use them as a fallback.

Show Items with No Data: In the visual's field, make sure the Show items with no data option is enabled.

Modify Filter Behavior with DAX: To bypass restrictive filters and keep other filters in effect, use DAX.
