CSS horizontal scroll

Question

I'm attempting to make a div containing a number of just horizontally scrollable photos. It should be similar to this LINK;
To prevent the photographs from "word-wrapping," the div> containing them must be given a width in order to do the aforementioned. If I don't enter a width, it appears as follows: LINK
How can I avoid inserting a set width considering that the images may vary using CSS?

You can use display:inline-block with white-space:nowrap.
