Apply filters only on the dashboard

Question

I just want to apply a filter on my dashboard in a worksheet included in the dashboard. But I don't want it in the actual worksheet. Only when it is on the dashboard.

How can this be done?

First of all why???

Second of all, it is not possible. Whatever you do with the worksheet on your dashboard will be reflected on the original worksheet.

If it matters that much to you to preserve the original sheet, then duplicate the sheet and use the duplicate on your dashboard.
