How to create external Hive table

I have created an internal table using this command:

create table employee(Name String, Sal Int) row format delimited fields terminated by ',';

Now I want to create the same table but external. How can I do it?

It's simple. You just have to add external keyword. Like this:

create external table employee(Name String, Sal Int) row format delimited fields terminated by ',';
