How does different blockchains differs on the basis of protocols

As there are different blockchain platforms such as Hyperledger, multichain, Ethereum, and more. Can someone tell me the key differences among these platforms.??

Blockchain platforms differs in more than many ways..

Majorly these platforms differ on the basis of protocols they implement. Various platforms uses different Consensus protocols. Example. Bitcoin uses proof of work while hyperledger uses PBFT as consensus mechanism.

Using different type of protocols in blockchain depend majorly on the purpose they are built for. Example: Ethereum was built for developing open source decentralized apps while hyperledger was formed for building enterprise based solutions.

Accordingly the platform is chosen depending upon the type of use case you want to build.
