How to get job after long gap and without experience

+2 votes
I am a 2015 pass out engineering student. When I completed my engineering, I could not start working because of some family problems. Now that things are sorted, I don't want my education to go to waste. But I am finding it hard to get a job because companies either hire freshers or people with experience. I don't qualify as either of them. Is there a way I can work in the technical field or should I just find some other way?

Hey there. It's good that you don't want to waste your education. Though getting a job after a long gap and no experience is difficult but not impossible. You can attend walk-in interviews, some companies don't consider the year of passing. If you have good skills (which I am not sure you would have after such a long gap), you can start working as a freelancer. Another option is to join a course on your favorite technology, get certified and then look for jobs.

Hi,

It is really good to know that you have that passion to start your career again. It matters how long your gap was and it was also without any experience, but it is never late to start anything. There are many companies who actually hire people who have the knowledge and they do not check your background, your marks anything. Just they need a knowledgeable person. Once you have thought of starting your career, make sure you are dedicated to it and you need to learn things very fast and side by side can apply for jobs.

Take up some course like Java or python and start dedicating your maximum time on that. Reach out to your friends who are already working and try to get some referrals. Try every possible way to get a job as fast as possible.

M learning python but m not getting out way
Hey, @Ayasha

Are you trying to get into python jobs? Have you started learning python on your own? If yes, then I would suggest you take up a course because any kind of professional certification will have an additional command on your resume.

I would suggest you go through this:https://www.edureka.co/python-programming-certification-training
