Name or service not known error

I am not able to connect to the internet. I have connected to a Wifi and wifi works on other devices. I am trying to ping to Google but it is showing the below error

$ ping www.google.com

ping: www.google.com: Name or Service not known

Please help.

Seems like there is no nameserver set.

Run the below command in the terminal and try again

$ echo ‘nameserver 8.8.8.8> /etc/resolv.conf’
