How can I use my host machine s web browser to check my HDFS services running in the VM

I am a newbie in Hadoop. For easy setup I am using a Hortonworks Sandbox which is running in a virtual machine. Now, when I am starting the virtual machine I am not able to access the HDFS through my Host’s web browser. Can anyone help in understanding & solving this issue?

The sole purpose of the virtual machine is to isolate the environment of host machine & the virtual machine. But yes you can access the services running in the VM from the host machine.

You have to “port forwarding” in your VM to access those services in your host machine.
