Microsoft is Looking for a New Team to Revamp GitHub

After its acquisition of GitHub in Q4 last year, Microsoft seems to be taking the slow and steady approach towards integrating the web-based hosting service into its in-house solutions. The Redmond giant has been on the lookout for a team to make this transition smoother and also manage all the business and IT operations of GitHub since November 2018. The jobs listed by the tech behemoth include senior-level posts like Program Managers and Product Managers, and also entry to mid-level roles like analysts and developers.

Australia & Asia Face Blockchain Skill Shortage – Growth Quoted to be 33X

A recent report by LinkedIn suggests that demand for professionals skilled in Blockchain is higher than ever in Asia and Australia. The skill shortage is so high that companies are willing to pay professionals up to $300,000 per annum which is higher than almost any other recorded IT job role. According to the same report, growth in a Blockchain career was also quoted to be higher than any other – 33X, which is massive.

Italy to have over 45,000 Tech Jobs Available from 2019 – 2021

A recent report by Confindustria stated that Italy is facing one of the biggest crisis in terms of skill gap fulfillment in ages. According to the study, the country will have over 45,000 job openings in the technology sectors available in the timeframe between 2019 to 2021. This comes as no surprise as Italy’s technology and engineering sectors have seen a shortage of skill for years, but the gap is growing quicker than anticipated.

Google recently announced that it is expanding its finance division in the city of Chicago which will create hundreds of jobs at its base.
