What is Talend?

Talend Open Studio (TOS) is a wonderful open source Data Integration (DI) tool used to build end-to-end ETL solutions. This course will not only help beginners to understand the art of data integration but also equip them with Big Data skills in a smart way. This course also aims to educate you about Big Data through Talend’s powerful product “Talend for Big Data” (the first Hadoop-based data integration platform).

Why learn Talend?

The best part about Talend is its features of being an enterprise integration tool and its ability to manage the flow of information between entirely different systems. It is fundamentally designed for enterprise systems, databases, software packages, mainframe files, web services. An important feature of Talend has been its ability to automate and maintain tasks. There is a particular example where an organization was able to increase its productivity by 90% while facing a challenge of building interfaces. Ideally, it took them 3-4 years to build, but with the help of Talend the duration was shortened to 3 months! Talend today is seen as an important Big Data tool, especially for a non-programmer.
