20 years of Java and the success party continues. To all those who said that Java is slipping in popularity, job trends have responded saying ‘not yet’! We need not look further than the TIOBE programming community index-2016 to see that Java has continued to grow, gaining about 6 percent share since 2014, going on to be named as the programming language of the year. Also significant is the fact that the TIOBE index is based on search engine statistics and factors such as the number of skilled engineers world-wide, courses and third party vendors using the programming language. This is not the first time that Java has won the title and it sure does not look like the last time.

In India the story is no different. According to Payscale.com, the median total pay for a Java programmer/developer in India is Rs 436,104 with total cash increasing with experience level.

Hi pallavi I am a student in edureka the above post is good, but problem is finding jobs in java,like when i put my skills(j2ee,html,css,spring,hibernate,sql..etc) there are lakhs and lakhs of student have the same skill set in the resume,unfortunately I was not hired in campus now struggling to land in IT industry after 3 years,whenever I tried searching a job with the key words mentioned above in naukri I can see around or above 3000 applicant for 4 vacancies,If I go for a walk-in there will be thousands of candidate competing for the 10 to 20 vacancies as a result companies stopped conducting walk-in,even if they do its only for candidates with experience 3 and above,so this is the case in india,if you see newspaper 80% of engineer are not employable and on the other side of the paper there is no jobs vacancies in companies for fresher,what my question instead of showing how much java developer can earn or salary graph which easily can be obtained from google search,can you please post what can we(as a student) do to overcome the competition and why there is no job available for fresher candidate if he/she was not placed through campus or only way is to pay to hr person(bribing hr to get the job,many of my friends did it and got placed in reputed mnc).what should we do? I not expecting the general answer which I can google it or something like “move forward as your heart says blah blah blah””,NO.NO.I am looking for crystal clear answer,what a student have to do if he/she studied java in edureka? (I know edureka not promising job or placement,its just a educational platform to learn new skills) please don’t reply this post with vague answer,I am looking for answer which change my path of career.Thank you
You have to work on a project of your own, start thinking a new idea and develop it in Java Spring, doing so you will get a confidence and for sure that will be your job experience and please stop thinking negatively that how many people didn’t get a job because of not having a job experience, people are like a goats they just follows the one in-front of them, it is my advice to start thinking differently instead following others what they are doing in which way. I hope my advice helps you !

or else go n search for the placement as u told
