    But one more thing i want to clarify…. i need to know whether anyone from non-tech background can afford to take hadoop as career?

    Since mine is MBA – -HR and i use to deal with bit MIS part in HR with data analytics….. so i got interest in learning hadoop, as it also has same background of data….

    is it possible to learn hadoop, without knowing SQL and JAVA? or we need to go through the technical learnings first?

      see java is just a default language for developing map reduce code but not it not necessary to use only java but u can use any languages like c++, c# .etc

      You dont need to focus on Java. You can use abstract layer on top of hadoop like Hbase, Hive and Pig. Search on Youtube about these high level language. They are easy to understand and use.

      all guys are saying is correct but companies follow some standard languages like Java. C, C##, old languages and that to very less people in market, they wont ask you develop know languages they may follow any one language.
